One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Second Best Amazing . . .
Scuba Diving off the coast of Dakar, Senegal, just beneath its land-based Lighthouse, where the Atlantic ocean outgoing tide was four stories below the cliff-hanging entry point and the in-coming tide rose to the top of the cliff. In effect, this made entering the ocean on a High tidal wave convenient and easy, with a quick but gently four-story drop in elevation.

Returning up the cliff, required waiting in the water near the cliff base, for another incoming tidal wave, which lifted us up the cliff face where at just the right moment, we'd adjust our timing to jump out of the tidal surge onto dry land at the top of the cliff.

Felt more like smooth elevator riding downward from & upward to the cliff.
