I'm a 25 year-old straight white male currently enrolled in my 2nd year in a Physics PhD program at Clemson University in SC. I'm originally from a middle-class suburb outside of northeast Philadelphia.

I teach calculus based physics labs to engineering students (and absolutely love it). In the past I have held careers as a tutor, lifeguard, and movie theatre supervisor.

I have not had the opportunity to see much of the states - I've been to FL (Disney) a few times with my parents, up to Boston once, and LA this past summer. Besides that, I haven't really spent time in other locations outside of Clemson, SC and southeastern Pennsylvania. I would really like to see what other cities/regions have to offer!

I definitely have been raised to be very respectful - especially when a guest in someone's home. I clean up after myself, and I am evening brining along my own sheets on the trip and completely understand if you'd like me to use them. I want both of our experiences to be pleasant and to inconvenience hosts as little as I possibly can.

I also understand that a big part of CS is for a cultural and personal exchange - if that is what you're looking for great! At the very least all I need is a place to stay, but if you are hosting me and wish for the full experience I am definitely down for that and would love to hear stories, advice, and get a tour from a local.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm planning a round trip of the United States this summer, and Couchsurfing would be a great way to get a local's experience, meet new people, cut down costs for accommodations - and most importantly have a good time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Besides studying physics? And jumping down flights of stair on my skateboard?
