About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm pretty easy-going, laid back and fairly spacy at times. I always try to keep an open mind to something new, interesting, or out of the ordinary. Mainly I just like to live the life and have fun and drink coffee.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
First of all, it is awesome! And it allows me to experience a city/country/culture with an insight of a local perspective. One of the things I enjoy most about traveling is meeting new people and experiencing the unique elements of a new destination, as opposed to the facade created for the average tourist. It makes travel much more enjoyable of an experience and doesn't deplete my (lack therefore of) finances.
Interests
Right now, my biggest interest is travel (i.e. getting lost) and writing about my misadventures here: globalhobos.com. I also like making cartoons and talking to people and experiencing new cultures and places. On top of that, I really like hiking and being outdoors. Currently, I'm trying to travel the world teaching English (as I need a job since I'm perpetually broke).
I also like history and need coffee to live.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In the summer of 2012, I volunteered for an international organization based out of Irkutsk, Russia to help construct a trail system around Lake Baikal in Siberia. For a month, I lived on the shores of the lake in a tent with a group of international volunteers constructing a segment of the trail.
Teach, Learn, Share
Always up for all three, especially when it comes to places I've traveled to.
