Hiii. I'm Bilou, from Switzerland and currently living in Paris after a few years in Canada, Morocco and Mexico. I speak 4 different languages and have lived in 7 different countries. I'm trying to save the world by making large companies switch to more sustainable models - at the moment I'm a bit of a sustainable strawberry expert.

I like to discover the world hiking and eating. I'm currently in a surfing phase since I started learning when I lived in Morocco. Honestly though, I'm shit at it.

I'm also a friendly, sociable, idealist, buddhist, environmentalist, tarot-reading, dog-loving keto-vegetarian who loves meeting new people, discovering new places, having good conversation, watching old movies, meditating and howling at the full moon...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Two reasons:
- I want to get to know the real thing when I visited places, and there's no better way than staying with locals
- I want to meet people I would have never met otherwise! I want to be surprised!

Interests

I love to hike. It's a fantastic way of doing slow travel! It's also the #1 best way to appreciate the company of the people you are with. I've hiked: La Haute Route in the Alps, Paramo ecosystems in Colombia, and the Iztaccihuatl volcan in Mexico.

I'm also an avid city biker: I love biking up and down Mexico City and was probably the only woman biking in Tunis when I lived there ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a small town in Morocco where I was the only foreign woman. I had an incredible time, learned Arabic the hard way, and became a regular at the only bar in town.
