ABOUT ME

I'm a 21 year old student at the University of Maine. I'm a dedicated student but also enjoy kicking back with a few friends and enjoying a couple cold ones. Meeting new people would be among my preferred past times. I respect people's cultural backgrounds and enjoy conversations revolving around that topic. I'm a nature lover, keen on canoe trips and fishing expeditions. I love traveling, and hope to continue traveling and learning until the day I die. Reading is a big hobby of mine, and writing is my favorite form of self expression. I typically surround myself with friendly people who have respect for anybody that wishes to receive it. That's me, in a nutshell

PHILOSOPHY

Education is the key to understanding. Without learning and respecting what others think and believe, we shape our world with personal expectations that may differ drastically from what is real.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've couch surfed in Liverpool, UK, and immediately fell in love with the idea of bringing people of different cultures together. I hope to couch surf more in the future and provide a couch for others in order to bridge cultural differences that often cause prejudice and violence in our world. It is a great program for creating bonds that promote awareness and peace.

Musica, film e libri

Favorite movies include Darjeeling Unlimited, Schindler's List, A Beautiful Mind, The Namesake, and Into the Wild.
Favorite Music includes, but are not limited to, blues, smooth jazz, hard and classic rock, and reggae.
I love any book that is thought provoking, my favorites being 1984, Brave New World, The Old Man and the Sea, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Hard Times, Great Expectations, and too many others for you to be interested in knowing.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I'm American but spent three years of my life playing AAA Junior Hockey in Canada. I've canoed the 98 miles the make up the Allagash Wilderness Waterway and hiked a one mile high mountain in a day's time. Studied the French Language throughout my lifetime and am currently studying it at the University of Angers, France.
