Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to learn, to experience, and as silly as it may sound, to create some great memories.
ABOUT ME
Former engineer. built some plants that make materials for solar power cells - and it was a great start into becoming educated about making a positive impact in the environment.
i'm also trying to maintain some semblance of becoming a pianist. i played as a child, and after a 12 year break and as a much different person, am starting again. Currently I'm trying to get into grad school for performance. classically trained, but open to all kinds of music.
I cook vegan (i don't use anything that comes from an animal), and eat that way too, apart from the rare piece of cheese.
i'm slowly growing and molding myself from the kind of person that other people wanted me to be when i was younger, to the kind of person that i want to be. someone who's invested in community and community building, paying things forward, music, compassion, and adventure. i am utterly honest to myself, try to be as honest as possible to others, and appreciate people who have conduct themselves similarly.
PHILOSOPHY
a sense of adventure, humor, empathy, and true honesty with yourself and others goes a very long way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted one person so far - someone I met whilst in London. It was great to show her around town when I could.
Sometimes my schedule can be kind of busy, when when it's not, I love going out. If you like walking, bicycling, or rock climbing, that's fantastic! If you enjoy relaxing a bit more (having a drink, chatting, visiting some cool indoor spaces), that's fantastic too!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed in Italy with some absolutely FANTASTIC hosts, and hung out (but didn't stay) with another host in London. Two very positive experiences, and I look forward to future travels and more surfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
i've stood at the open door of an airplane at 14,500 feet, and jumped out of it. 15 times.
Getting to the top of Mt. Haleakala in Hawaii was a profound experience. I experienced a green sunset and the most star-filled night sky in my life.
