ABOUT ME

My nickname was Bina for many years but lately I go by Kaira. I am a singer/songwriter/guitarist, fire artist and spinner. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and medicine worker, constantly seeking out pain to help relieve. I move energy through sound, movement, and touch and am captivated by all things etherial and vibrational. I am a free and vibrant soul being washed down a ride of life, determined to make the world more beautiful, light, and loving for all those who will accept the change.

PHILOSOPHY

Too long to write about in detail, but if I had to answer, I'd say my personal philosophy is love. Love yourself, other people, where you are, what you do, and love the beautiful world we live in. That's short and I sound like a hippy so you should probably just ask me in person.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've helped host people at a local Co-operative living community called houseasaurus. I've met some really cool people through couchsurfing and can't wait till i'm settled into a place that I can host people at.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed 2 times and had awesome experiences. I've also helped host many many surfers at a local collaborative housing community.

Interessi

Hooping and object manipulation of all kinds, I love to spin fire and brighten up parties. I learned both these things at burning man festival offshoots and I love the festival culture! love music with a passion and have played my acoustic stuff in many a bar and also screamed in many a metal show. I used to sing in a funk band called MOONTANG! I like eating good food with good people, I like biking, yoga, reading books, and scratching backs. I like swimming in creeks, exercising, dancing, talking, and being around colorful spirits. I really do love getting to know people and I am always hungry for a new and different experience.

Musica, film e libri

quentin tarantino movies, and any movie that is enjoyable and not too depressing.
I like Spoon, The Vines, the Dandy Warhols, Okay Go, Starfucker, alt J, and music that's beat heavy and danceable. I don't listen to much punk or metal but love the shows and love to play the style. and whatever else the kids are listening to nowadays.
Calvin and hobbes commic books, The Cosmic Serpent was fantastic, Dante's Inferno was like running a reading marathon but it was so good, the way of the peaceful warrior, Illusions and Jonathan livingston seagull by Richard Bach, Parable of the Sower (read it!). I've been reading all of David Sedaris' books recently and loving them. I love to read and I'll read just about anything.

I've jumped off a 40 foot cliff into a jungle spring near Belmopan Belize. They called it "The Blue Hole" (not the blue hole off the coast, another one, haha)

I can teach everything I know, singing, massage, how to make an awesome sweet potato latka, hula hooping, and guitar. I can teach you how to climb trees, drain your sinuses, and how to cook a mean coconut curry. I am always up for learning something new.
