ABOUT ME

I am a 27 year-old "young professional" who lives in Lincoln, NE. I moved from Madison, WI where I lived for 5 years and hope to someday return to.

I work for a non-profit organization that designs outdoor classrooms & natural playgrounds with a mission of reconnecting children to nature. I love my job and hope to continue to grow in the field of Landscape Architecture to one day work more in the field of community re-development and revitalization.

In my free time, I love to play soccer, ultimate frisbee and disc golf. In the winter I snowboard and even do a little bit of cross-country skiing. I am starting to get into cycling. I love exploring local culture, food and beers while meeting genuine people along the way.

Have traveled extensively throughout the US. Visited 44 of the states and hoping to check them all off in the next couple of years. Have also been to Germany, Belgium, Turkey, UK, Honduras... and Canada... for 6 hours... once

Life is complicated and I really don't think we are ever meant to "figure it out", but I do think we should enjoy each day of the journey and live it to the absolute fullest.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting any visitors coming through Nebraska right now. I am hoping to continue expanding my travel experience through CouchSurfing and other similar venues. I really believe that this is one of the best ways to meet sincere people who have a lot to share.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed for a couple of nights in London with a fantastic host who showed me around and cooked a full english breakfast. Hopefully this is the first of many experiences. Met some wonderful people in Istanbul as well through CS

I love reading about psychology and personal philosophy. Also really into reading about design, travel and food. Occasionally, I enjoy more comedic writing. Favorite authors are Bill Bryson, David Sedaris and Kurt Vonnegut

Swam with sharks in Hawaii and built a playground in rural Honduras
