ABOUT ME

Jon & I love to travel. I ( Barbara) was already a traveler before meeting my husband Jon. We have been married for 3 years now and we live in suburbs of Dallas. We have traveled many places and we enjoy meeting people regardless of their beliefs, and life style. We are pretty open and accepting of all people - we mean ALL.

As travelers we enjoy exploring the city on our own; but we enjoy going out with our hosts sometimes for a drink as we would be too lazy to go out by ourselves. ;-)

As hosts we enjoy having people who are independent. You can wake up any time you like; come and go as you please ( please no smokers). We have two dogs Snoopy and Stitch. They rule the house, but are very sweet dogs.

I am from Brazil and I have been living in the US for about 7 years. Jon was born and raised in Texas ( don't worry he is not republican and did not vote for Bush!) ;-)

We love traveling- that is pretty much what I would dove to do for a living.
Jon is an English teacher and works most of the day; I am running my own business ( iPad apps) from home.
I travel a lot to give presentations around the country; so we may not be available at times.

Jon and I cook some times; but we are not very good at it. ;-) But we can try to cook for you a couple times when you come stay with us.

When placing a couch request; the only thing we ask is that you do not smoke. ;-) Sorry.

We enjoy playing games (wii, cards, board games) and talking about this crazy world after a few glasses of wine.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is based on the power of love as the solution to our problems. Human beings keep fighting for a God, or to decide which religion or set of rules makes us go to Heaven.

I believe in the power of love. I believe in treating people equally, respecting others, and accepting differencies.

I beiveve in " do no harm!" .

I believe in true friendship, and harmony.

I believe in self exploration, and self learning.

I want a better world, I want to improve myself, and move as far as I can from negative feelings and emotions. But I also want to learn how to enjoy the world we have available now.

We love music; Barbara loves dancing and playing drums while Job plays all sorts of instruments; but cannot dance to save his life.
