About Me

Hello everbody!

My goal is to be a good enough opera singer who is able get on the stage all over the world. But I am trying to acheive it with a science student background because before my Studies I didn't have any interest in music.
But now after 3 years of education, things aren't enough to me anymore, I'd say. Nowadays I am trying to find better education opportunities. Lot of question marks in my mind about future.
For that purpose, I will study at the University of Musik Saar as an Erasmus student for Summer Semester 2021.

Ready to learn always: to play piano, to dance tango and to analyze the music with its effects on human body. I have some voice acting recordings. But I am an amateur. Also very interested in History and I know a couple things about it. Love to play video games on computer. Especially strategy and historical-RPG genres but sci-fi is good also. Recently started to like sports. Especially swimming. But still can't stand odd gym musics.

Briefly, an open-minded and easy-going "per-son" who is eager to gain experiences about life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Willing to meet sincere people and listen to their stories. A good listener, I am. One should learn and share knowledge, experience and inspiration. That's what we do since cognitive revolution (70.000 years ago). To get organized. It's the only key to accomplishment of our present civilization,
To our sins against nature as well...

So, on Couchsurfing to take off the blinders (actually don't need one cuz I am almost an innate blind :D). And I am looking forward to experience these little coincidences which could change everything.

Music, Movies, and Books

Keen on jazz and my favorite singers are Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Chet Baker. Pop is also good, Tom Jones, Perry Como, Connie Francis, Marlene Dietrich, ... Also like Latin or Ethnic Music as Buena Vista Social Club, Pink Martini, Cesaria Evora, Goran Bregovic, Mercedes Sosa, Joan Baez...

Love to listen Baroque Music in the morning. Also Renaissance English Music. Like Purcell and Dowland. Operas of Wagner, Strauss (Richard), Verdi and Puccini or are quite impressive but my favourite Opera is Mozart's "Le nozze di Figaro".
It is a revoluntionary piece for its time with such an absurd plot. :D

Would say that the best way to choose a movie is listening to its soundtracks: Watch it without any doubt if they made by Michel Legrand, Hans Zimmer, Yann Tiersen, Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota.

I love all films of Charlie Chaplin. I am his biggest fan and Animation Films like "Finding Nemo", "Robots", "Ratatouille" Tim Burton is liked. But mostly, Art-Festival films like "Etenity and a Day", "Winter Sleep", "Three Monkeys", "Yol", "Sürü", "Masumiyet"...
There are some classics of course:
"Shawshank Redemption"
"Dead Poets Society"
"Green Mile"
"A Beautiful Mind"
"Cinema Paradiso"
"The white Ribbon"
"Pan's Labyrinth"
"The Terminal"...
And Musicals:
"The Sound of Music"
"My Fair Lady"
"Fiddler on the Roof"
"Umbrellas of Cherbourg"...
and hundreds of films that I can't write here...

It is always a pleasure to read inspiring books of Jules Verne. The classics like Tolstoy, Hugo, Dostoyevski...
Also plays by Shekespeare or Antic Greek Playwrights or social-realists like Chekhov, Brecht. Such a joy to read poems by Nazım Hikmet, Gülten Akın (fortunately in mother tongue) and Müller, Heine or Khayyam.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A bimonthly journey for the purpose of finding better education opportunities throughout Europe in which I was completely alone, have met so many kind and helpful people,

A visit to Disneyland in Paris. It was my childhood dream. And It was a very emotional experince for me.

An Erasmus Semester in Graz, Austria which is full of crazy moments. (Yelling onto whole city from Schlossberg at night and drinking so many beers are included.)

Teach, Learn, Share

Hopefully can teach you the basics of music theory, basic singing and a little bit piano. Also my mother language. (which I can do well. Nowadays it's hard to find even among locals) I know a little tango. I can show you how to breathe more healthy. (the diaphragmatic breathing)
I am learning German for nearly a year. So I need some practice on my speaking and vocabulary.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Long conversations about history, philosophy and music. Maybe some travel stories with something to drink. Some book, film or music suggestions. All my sincere feelings. An evoked interest in opera or classical music. Sometimes my deliriums and worries about life and future.
My thoughts, experinces and feelings about any topic I know about as a late starter to music, a bookworm, a reliable friend or just as a being living on the earth.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Netherlands, Serbia, Slovakia

Countries I’ve Lived In

Austria, Germany, Turkey
