Overview
About Me
I'm a lover of the outdoors, birds, wine, chocolate, cooking, baking, learning new things, overcoming a challenge, and making connections with people. I was born in Canada but grew up in Michigan, though part of my heart still lives with all of my family in Canada. I've been married to my husband since January 2016. Some of our fondest memories together involve exploring new cities together, meeting new people, and trying local food.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to experience your country and culture through your eyes. I want to learn about the world through meeting people, eating, drinking, and exploring. I also want to share a bit of my own culture with my host.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy alternative, rock, and some rap music (not the gangster stuff so much). I developed a love for German rap a few years ago so most of my favorite artists are German. Some of my favorites are Alligatoah, Peter Fox/Seeed,
SDP, Sido, Cro, and Rammstein.
My favorite books tend to be adventure or non-fiction. I love a book that teaches me a new way of thinking, or explores the paradigms of our world. On the flip side, who doesn't love Harry Potter?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving was amazing!
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn how to cook some of your favorite things. I want to know what you love about the area you live in.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to show you how to cook and bake some of my favorite things! I like to make food that's nutritious and flavorful with good meat, spices, healthy fats, eggs, nuts, and lots of vegetables. I don't generally eat sugar so I enjoy the challenge of coming up with recipes for my lifestyle. I've mastered the art of baking low carb sweets.
I can tell you about birds, plants, and wildlife even though I may have a lot to learn from the specific species in your country.
