ABOUT ME
I guess I'm pretty easy-going and uncomplicated, able to adapt to most situations and people. My friends say I am bursting of energy. I'm really not the person who can sit around around doing nothing for a long time (except when I have a good book to read), but there's always so much to do and experience. Don't expect too much of me in the morning though...
I love languages and communication - that's why I became a translator. Sometime's it's pretty boring though as it means sitting home alone all day in front of the computer :-/ But on the other hand it means having no boss and being able to take a day or a week off whenever I want which is fantastic ;-) Flexibility is great.
I'm a sociable person and open for new views and input. There's still so much to learn. Actually that's why I joined couchsurfing.
For my taste there's actually too much "I's" in the text above... not easy to describe oneself :-/
I'm living together with my boyfriend and my son. So if you are surfing our couch you will not only meet me but a happy family and we all love to have guests.
PHILOSOPHY
Et kütt wie et kütt (one of the Cologne fundamental laws meaning that what happens happens and you shouldn't worry too much) Live and enjoy as much as possible!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As I have a 13-year old son who has to go to school we mainly host. It's great to have someone bring some travelling-spirit in when you can only travel during vacation-time yourself! I am still travelling a lot though :-)
Actually my dream is to do a trip around the world for at least one year and discover some more of our planet. That will have to wait though. Hope I can do it with my son when he has finished school.
Occasionally I participate in Couch-surfing events but not really often as I have a lot of other activities and groups going on.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Met some great people and looking forward to more of it.

Music: Punk, Ska, Metal, Indie, Alternative
No Techno, Hiphop, House
Books: We devour books. We have a huge collection in different languages (and actually no space left). So you are welcome to exchange books!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got a child that grew up from a helpless baby to a great and independent adolescent. What can be more fascinating?
Teach, Learn, Share
I am good with languages. If you want to learn German I am patient enough to talk German to you.
Otherwise I guess I have quite some crazy stories to tell
What I Can Share with Hosts
I volunteer to cook for you (sometimes it is hard to find the ingredients for my favorite Cologne dish though)
