Overview
About Me
I grew up in a port town at the Baltic Sea,
came to East Berlin in 1980 to study Japanese language, history, culture... graduation in 1985... tourguide in Germany and Japan...
two grown up children, boy and girl, my daughter is still living at home with me,
we're living in Berlin Pankow ( ten minutes by subway to Alexanderplatz with the TV-Tower, the center of former East Berlin) in a very convenient apartment with three bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, balkony (the building is from 1906)...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
First of all I'm interested in meeting people from all over the world to share some time, to learn more about foreign cultures, to exchange opinions, to improve knowledge of foreign languages,
to offer nice and free accomodation in Berlin and to be with locals in their cities, it's hospitality,
there is no better way to enjoy life and living, to discover unknown places or even areas within ourselfs than by being with open minded, warm hearted and lovely curious people...
Interests

Got my driving licence when I was as young as 44... !!! YESSS... ;-)))
Three weeks in Iceland in August 2010 with two couples, with our own bicycles and tents and all that kind... along the gravel roads, left and right nothing but desert, lava, volcanos, glaciers... somehow like being lost in the middle of nowhere or on the moon... the best thing and adventure/landscape ever... and sooo hard/exhausting and sooo good... ;-))
