About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Having a great year in the USA !

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Birgit and it's not pronounced Birgiiiiit or Burgit or Birgot and has nothing to do with Beer. It's simply pronounced as Biagit, eventhough it's spelled with an "r" . Confusing I know..I've heard to funniest things concerning my name ;)

Well..what do u want me to say ? I'm an open-minded,kind, caring, friendly and a very easy-going person, who loves trying new things, doing sports, beeing outside, exploring the world, meeting new people, new cultures and I'm always ready for a new adventure.

PHILOSOPHY

Thinking positively makes life much more fun and helps you to go through bad times much easier!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My boyfriend and I went to Rome and we decided to get some food, so we went to Burger King. We took a seat and put my purse right next to him on the chair. We enjoyed our burgers - which weren't the best- and as we wanted to leave the purse was gone. There were NO people around.
I couldn't believe it and I ran around asking people if they had seen someone with a brown purse. Well it was hopeless of course, there are thousands of people with a brown purse.

So I stood there, crying because I was so upset and some women came over and they tried to help us. They told us to go to the police office, which we did. No chance.
And then 15 min later the women, we'd met before, were following us and they gave us a hug and 20 € to afford at least a taxi back to our hotel!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to meet people who like to travel. I guess that's the whole point of couchsurfing and I'm in the right place. :)
