CURRENT MISSION

Summer 2018 I decided to quit my job in estonian film industry and move to Sicily. Best decision I have ever made. My current mission is to enjoy life daily, meet new people, learn new things and travel as much as possible in Sicily/Italy

ABOUT ME

I was born in Estonia, but I have decided to live in Italy, because italian life and culture fits better with my personality. In 2011 I used to live in Sardegna (7months) and Varese (4months) and I moved back to Italy summer 2018. In Estonia I studied politics and government, so I have previously worked in Tallinn City Council, Estonian Ministry of Culture and Estonian Film Institute.

I am openminded, interested in learning about other cultures and countries, always smiling, adventurous, talk-active. I LOVE travelling and so far I have visited 31 countries in Europe.

I love: history, films, theatre, singing, italian language, italian music, basketball, books, international exchanges, to meet new people, to spend time with my friends and family, SUN, summer

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined Couchsurfing in 2011, when I lived one year abroad and travelled a lot. I was working as an au-pair, 7months in Sardegna, Sassari (I met many Erasmus people and I also hosted some people). Other 4 months I lived in Varese, near Milan. In 2012 I moved back to Tallinn and continued with my studies.

In Tallinn I occasionally met up with fellow travellers, but I haven't used couchsurfing for a while. Now in Sicily I would love to use it more, to meet some new people, as we have really nice international community here.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE - I mainly used CS in 2011, when I lived in Italy

I had my first CS experience in Nottingham, England 17-18th march 2011. I had to go back to Estonia from Sardegna, because of my exam. Night before I arrived to Nottingham I stayed at Girona`s airport in Spain. I arrived right before midnight and my flight was 12 o`clock next day. My first experience to sleep in the airport also!
Nottingham was really nice! I was hosted by Jordan for 1 night. I met his housemates also and we went out, because it was St.Patrick`s day.

My second CS experience was when I came back from Estonia, in order to stay 2days near Venice. I found my couch just 24hours before I went there, so thank you very much Francesco! I had really lovely 2 nights there and his family was so great! 26.march I visited Venice and it was unforgettable!

9-10th april I was visiting Pisa and Florence, where I was hosted by He-Trotter. He hosted one more girl in this period, so we had nice dinner together and we discovered little bit city together.

I had my first CS hosting experience 13-15th april, when me and my sardinian family were hosting 2 girls from Netherlands(Anita and Renata). It was so nice experience!

2nd-5th may I was hosting one couple from Denmark/Lithuania(Karolina and Morten).

In mid-may CS people came to Sassari also(Luis, Alex), so we went out together and had some nice travels together. Now I have beeing contact with more people from CS and I like it.

4-5th june I was in London for the first time and I was hosted by Oliver.

兴趣

I have had many different hobbies in my life. I used to work in Estonian Film Institute, so I was very lucky to attend all estonian film premiers, Cannes Film Festival and different red carpet events. 2018 I was working as a project manager of Estonian Film and Television Awards and it was really a dream come true.

I love to listen rock/alternative music and I just LOVE italian music.
My favourite bands are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Kings of Leon, Queen etc. My italian playlist consists more than 200 songs, but my favourites are Thegiornalisti, Calcutta, Ligabue, Jovanotti, Ermal Meta, Mahmood, Ultimo, Marco Mengoni, Coez, Fabri Fibra, Salmo etc.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I think that the most amazing things has been my international youth exchanges. So many new experiences by doing and trying totally different things. I met AMAZING people from all over the world, I can`t describe how much I actually miss them! I have met also people from USA, India, Japan, Hong Kong. It`s so wonderful to learn about other cultures and about the way how they are living in their homecountries. I love Estonia, but I consider myself as a traveller and person, who just loves international company.

4)"Capturing Reality" 12-20march 2010, youth exchange by euro 26, making a little documental film. Thessaloniki, Greece
5)"Silverlake camp 2010"- 8-31july 2010, Lions youth exchange in Belgium.
