ABOUT ME

I am an adventurous 25-year-old Danish student who wishes to experience Australia and New Zealand. I have always loved travelling to other countries, meeting new people and acquiring new insights on different cultures. So far my biggest travels have been to Canada, the USA and Iceland - three countries that I have become very fond of in each their way. I have heard many positive things about Australia and New Zealand and I am looking forward to exploring them for their unique culture and nature.

I was born in a small town on the West coast of Denmark. Growing up with nature by close hand I really enjoy nature and the tranquility that comes with it. In contrast to this I am also very fascinated by the city life. At the age of 20 I moved to the second largest city in Denmark called Aarhus. Here I enjoy the cultural life of theatres, art exhibitions and concerts. This interest is linked to my studies of Digital Design at Aarhus University where creativity is the main aspirations. Besides studying Digital Design I enjoy being involved in other University tasks such working as a mentor for foreign students and teaching as an instructor for younger students at our department of Information and Media Studies.

During my stay in Australia I’ll be an exchange student at The University of Technology in Sydney. I will be studying from late February till the beginning of July. I see this journey as a great opportunity to expand my horizons both personally and professionally.

Because this will be my first travel on my own I have chosen to use Couchsurfing. I will be very grateful to sleep on your couch and hopefully make my first experiences in Australia and New Zealand great ones.
