ABOUT ME

I love music!
I play the guitar and took lessons for several years but to be honest it's not that often that I play now - unfortunately... I sure wish I would find more time for that.
I started taking singing lessons at some point and am now happy to be member of our University Chorus.

I also like whistling a lot... Be aware! I warned you! ;)
I like doing sports (volleyball, tennis, tabletennis, skiing, running, swimming ...), especially walking around in cities that are new to me :)
I've been an European Volunteer in Sweden (Kalmar and Öland) and worked in a youth club and with disabled youngsters - a great time I really enjoyed! Currently, I'm an Erasmus student at Warwick University, studying English Lit, Film Studies and History.
In my freetime I like to hang out with friends, preferably in a pub or at some live concert/festival, going to see a theatre/opera performance, a film screening or art exhibition. As I love films a lot, movie nights at home are always an option for me ;)

I love travelling, of course, and languages - that's why I prefer to watch movies in their original language.
I like trying new food, although I should probably say in advance that I am a vegetarian.
Another passion of mine is dancing: ballroom dancing, folk dance, medieval dance, ...

music: I enjoy quite a wide range of music...but I especially like SKA, classic, trip hop, soul, world music, ...
books: tisdagarna med morrie, books by Noah Gordon, Douglas Adams, Robert Merle, Jostein Gaarder, ...

I'm always curious to learn new things! If you're interested in learning something I do - just ask me!
I am a language nerd, so if the opportunity comes up to talk in one of my foreign languages (so I won't forget them) I'm over the moon! ;) I also like learn new words from any other language - whichever it may be -, and to learn about your culture!
