Hi! My name is Michael and I am a traveler, a roamer, a seeker of experiences!
I am Danish, but now I live in Norway (I love nature, mountains and hiking - no mountains in Denmark!) I live here with my lovely wife Michelle - she is from the Philippines. We are the strangest match ever! Giant danish viking and tiny asian - 6foot4 versus 5 feet :D

I love humanity and our diversity, and I believe there is something good in us all.
I started doing international exchange when I was 18 through a student organization called AIESEC, where I would send Danish students abroad, and create traineeship opportunities for foreign students to come and visit my country. Ever since then I have been hooked with travelling the world, meeting new cultures and in general enjoy what life has to offer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think we spend to much time building walls and focusing on what our differences are - when in fact we are all quite similar! Couchsurfers seem to share that mentality! I think community and sharing the resources we have is great, and I have had many great experiences with people I met through couchsurfing all around the world. And I would like to give back by sharing my couch whenever I am home.

Interests

I love photography, food, and travelling! And somehow those things go hand in hand :) I love doing street photography, and crafting beautiful prints.

I'd like to take a "professional" portrait of all my guest. I love capturing the essence of people, and I find photography as a great way to get to know people - so please be aware of this if you choose to stay with us - no need to be shy :)

Furthermore I love nature, and spend as much time hiking as I can - always bringing along my tiny ultra-lightweight tent as my mobile home :)
