About Me
CURRENT MISSION
cross-polinize ideas around the globe
ABOUT ME
Always trying to unlearn more. In the moment, I'm travelling around the globe, trying to depend as few as possible from money and keeping myself open for what life has to offer in the way. I'm seeking for nice people, new places and more languages, because the world is too rich for me to keep only what I have already seen.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm existencialist in a Heiddegerian manner, with a touch of taoism and epistemological anarchism... heh.
But right now, the value that is in the center for me is to remain open for the life, instead of use only the usual filters "I like it / I don't like it" (the buddhist Vedana). The world is too big, too rich, too multiple, to remain closed only to the known things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been in friends and friends-of-friends' houses a number of times, and host friends and friends-of-friends in my (former) house another number (back when I was not on the road and had a home). The Couchsurfing website, itself, is kind of new for me: I just started to actively use in the last months, for surfing and meeting nice people -- and so far it has been amazing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: post-rock and post-electronic from the Scandinavia (Sigur Rós, Múm, Amiina, Röyksopp, The Knife, iamamiwhoami, 1099, etc.), as well as progressive rock, jazz and many kings of jazz fusion; Brazilian music (traditional Samba, Bossa and Frevo, but also new things as Mohandas, Hurtmold, Eddie, etc.); Classical music from twenthieth century (Debussy, Ravel and Stravinsky are my favourites), and pretty much any kind of tradicional "ethnic" music from the places I'm visiting (from fado in Portugal to kuvi chants in Mongolia)
Books: I read really a lot of things, but my favourie authors are Heiddeger, Gumbrecht, Feyerabend, Borges, Woolf, Tolkien, Guimarães Rosa, Suassuna, João Cabral de Melo Neto. In the last months I've been reading about buddhism, transpersonal psychology, etiology of maritime mammals, theories of translation, linguistics of catalan and occitan, etc.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I'm addicted to learn so I guess we can talk (and I can teach and learn) about a broad range of subjects: mathematics, physics, phylosophy, history in general,, history of ideas, linguistics, education, urban planning, architecture, art and design, open relationships, buddhism, meditation, etc.
