About Me
Hello!
I'm an Irish-Canadian primary teacher who has done a ton of couchsurfing and Workawaying in the past and looking to start up again. I've met the world's best people this way and love cultural exchanges.
In the past, my best experiences have been with families looking to share time with me and have someone around to play with the kids, to help out with languages and to be a positive presence in the house. I'm calm, friendly, patient, open-minded, sporty, musical, and I love board games/Lego.
I can't wait to meet you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have yet to find a better way to travel, to visit different cities and regions and to meet the kindest people. The couchsurfing community is one of the best there is.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love to play guitar, violin and Irish whistles, as well as to sing a bit. I'm an avid reader and have recently read The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead as well as several Margaret Atwood novels. I listen to all sorts of music, but love the blues, folk and classic rock.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Diving off the second level of a boat in Doubtful Sound, New Zealand, despite being afraid of deep water and not the world's strongest swimmer!
