About Me

I am a musician living in Atlanta. I am very much into the arts and really don't do much outside of work, I have my own music contractor business, and train capoeira. I do enjoy getting out in Atlanta to open mics, parks, bars, live music venues and movies when I get a chance, which is more often in the summer. So, like any creative mind, I'm all about the arts here in the ATL.

I'm also just starting off in this whole travel thing, and I'm almost fluent in Portuguese, because of a 7-day trip to Brazil that I took in 2015. So, I think my next language will be either Spanish (because it's so widely spoken in the western hemisphere) or German (because, after English, it's the most widely spoken language in western Europe). I'd really love to learn Twi or Yoruba, because of my West African heritage.

My life philosophy is to operate with an assumption of abundance. Once we begin to think that there isn't enough of something in the world, we begin to focus on ourselves too much. If we assume that there is an abundance of whatever we want, all we have to do is go get it, then it becomes motivating to get out of the bed everyday and do something that steps you closer to your goal.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing to expand my world bigger than just the USA and my experiences here. I want to see the world from a local perspective and also meet people who can share their experiences. This seems like a nice throwback to the old days where people would host travelers in their home and share a meal and a laugh and I think that's really cool.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've recorded music and had my songwriting reviewed by national and regional reviewers to be placed in their newspapers and magazines.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to teach people about the music and creativity that's already inside them.

I'd like to learn about the world from the perspective of someone else.

I'd like to share food and drink. I keep a stocked bar. Also, can share with you some of the amazing experiences around Atlanta:

- Free Capoeira class with the only Brazilian Mestre in Atlanta
- Tour of the Art or Civil Rights Museum
- Tour the trendy districts in Atlanta (Little Five Points, Midtown and E. Atlanta)
- Experience the local bar district in Decatur Square
- Ride bikes on Atlanta Beltline

What I Can Share with Hosts

My food and drink. Got no problem sharing. Would be nice if people could help with the cooking and cleaning after our home cooked meal.

I've got you an air bed and a futon with sheets and fresh, clean blankets.

So, if you read all that, and want to leave me a message, just type "Round huRR!" at the beginning so I know to answer quickly.
