About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel through southern South America from beginning of May to middle of August

ABOUT ME

I enjoy intelligent and humorous conversations with thoughtful people. My favorite style of beer is an IPA, but I love them all. I'm the 2nd oldest of 7 siblings. My favorite country I've traveled to thus far is Colombia. I'm originally from the middle/northern part of the U.S. (Wisconsin, Minnesota), so I spent the better part of my childhood playing ice hockey.

PHILOSOPHY

Maybe THIS is heaven.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only had one at this point, it was unplanned and gave me the itch for more. I was in Switzerland on business and planned to stay after. Without a solid plan on what I was doing, I ended up befriending some people at a bar, partying with them for the rest of the night and crashing on their coach.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: pretty much anything pitchfork.com tells me that I should like ;-)Books: mostly classics, but I'm expanding into more contemporary stuff lately like Freedom and Super Sad True Love Story

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing up 2000+ stairs to Ciudad Perdida, Colombia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've coached youth hockey for a several years, so I think I could teach people how to skate.

I taught my younger brother the great card game Euchre when he was 6, so I think I can teach that to anyone.

I know maybe 100 keyboard shortcuts in Excel and could teach someone how to create "fun" excel models.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, France, Guatemala, Honduras, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In

Spain, United States, Venezuela
