ABOUT ME

Very nice and very capable considerate people. Also, we are humble. We believe in the good of others, and in channeling positivity. We love discussion, and are highly educated on a plethora of topics. We love to meet people who have accommodation, a story to tell, and are interested in hosting/meeting us and showing us around their hometown. Currently we are back in Etobicoke (West Toronto), on the subway, and happy to host :)

PHILOSOPHY

Freedom of and on conscience is fundamental. With this comes the responsibility to recognize one's own fallibilities and limits of knowledge and understanding. I personally believe in equality, as an equal playing field and not as equal opportunity, or in the formal sense of equality treating likes alike. I believe in substantive equality.

Truly, I beleive that the human mind processes stimuli in two ways. (1) Serially - wherein successive individual assesments of reality are made. I am here, you are there, things can be statically understood as they are, separate from as they are not. (2) Simultaneously - All things are one, constantly interacting moving and dynamically changing to produce an ever evolving world in which we are all connected through the ebbs and flows of energy. Sometimes, I think we can tap into the latter of the two, and really feel connected. That's My philosophy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After traveling last year we benefited immensely from the couchsurfing community and are now happy to host. We have a large futon and lots of space.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We love sharing with others. Emily and I have surfed with two wonderful hosts in and around Sydney, NSW. We are hoping to surf all over the world, in Perth and SE Asia, then to become hosts upon our return to Canada next year. I have couchsurfed at many friends' houses, countless times, and consistently since finishing school. I have always been an exemplary guest, clean, and an asset to any home environment. I bring my own food, or negotiate fair sharing terms with others to make collaborative feasts or potlucks. We love to cook and (truly) enjoy cleaning.

Interests

Traveling! We love to learn and to share. We love the outdoors, while we were seeing Sydney we hiked almost the entire Blue Mountains. We both love reading, we love good movies, and LOVE a good laugh. We love cooking and are always game to collaborate on a meal. We both like longboarding, and recently tried (and fell in love with) surfing.
