ABOUT ME

Björn and I (Tamara) are a married couple. We are an interesting mix because Björn is half German and half Austrian and I'm half German and half American. So together we build a German-American-Austrian marriage. Bringing in the grandparents would make things even more complicated. But Björn spent his whole life here in Germany and I spent most of my life here. So for us Germany is the place where we feel like home.

If you decide to come and visit us or if you decide to host us there's a lot more we could tell you about us. Conversation is very important for us and it doesn't matter if it's a story that makes everyone laugh or if we share opinions on different topics.

By the way, Björn only speaks German but I'm used to translating things for him while we're on hollidays for example. I'm just writing this because it might be confusing if he's too quiet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I read and heard a lot about CS before I decided to join. That's something typical about me, I always consider and reconsider things before I become a member. During our last holliday I told Björn about it and he liked the idea. So we joined the couch surfing comunity. Unfortunatly we don't have any personal experiences so far but we are very curious and we can't wait to have our first experience.

Interests

Björn is interested in any aspect concerning cars. So I guess working for AUDI is the best place for him. He also likes to play computer games but (so far) it's not an obsession for him.
I love to read, some women can't have enough shoes, I can't have enough books. My favourite books are thrillers but inbetween I also love to read other genres. Another thing I like is cooking or baking. I collect recepies and cookbooks (here are the books again) so it's very rare, that we have the same meal twice.
But we also spend time together. We love geocaching because it leads us to foreign places. Also we like to spend time with friends and here it's important for us that we are able to talk to each other. And last but not least (as everyone here) we love to travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

Concerning movies we are very uncomplicated. We love to watch a movie together every now and then and we like many types of movies.

We also like music but our tastes differ concerning music. When we put our tastes together we like a lot of music.

I (Tamara) love to read books and there are many books at our place. I guess reading is my favourite hobby. I can't pass a bookstore without buying a book. My favourite books are thrillers. Björn reads only while we are on holiday.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For both of us the greatest thing we experienced so far was our marriage. We celebrated on the 34th floor of a hotel, 130 meters over Augsburg.

Teach, Learn, Share

I (Tamara) am a primary school teacher so I can teach you everything German kids learn in primary school :)
We also like to cook and to bake so we could teach you that, too. Of course you can also learn some German words at our place.
Björn's interested in cars so you can learn a lot about cars from him.
