ABOUT ME

Hi there

Bjarke is working as an engineer in Aalborg after finished my study at Aalborg University in telecommunications.

Mathilde is taking a master at the university.

We live with 3 other people, about 1 km from the center of Aalborg.

We are both very open minded persons, and try to have as little prejudice to others as possible. We love to meet new people from different cultures.

Our spare time is usually spend on various pet projects , which usually involves developing some software or web service, designing and sewing clothes, having a beer with friends, or on Geocaching.

Feel free to contact us if you want to know anything (buses, trains, hotels, sights, anything) about Aalborg or Denmark before you visit.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Trying to accept as many hosting requests as possible, to meet new and interesting people. And to give something back, to hopefully many future couch surfing experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have met a few people through couchsurfing by now, and every single on of them have been extremely positive encounters, so we are really looking forward to gaining a lot more experiences with couchsurfing.

Centres d'intérêt

Music, especially classical and just good rock.
We both read a lot, and Bjarke especially like (popular) scientific literature and classical sci-fi. Mathilde like fantasy and fiction.
We love to go geocaching, and does so whenever possible.

Other interests: Software development, AI (genetic algorithms, genetic programming, neural networks, etc.), geocaching, chess, scientific literature, algorithms, and a lot more I can not remember right now.

Music: AC DC, Aerosmith, Bee Gees, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, D-A-D, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker, Kinks, Led Zeppelin, Manic Street Preachers, Meat Loaf, Phil Collins, Pink Floyd, Queen, R.E.M., Roger Waters, Sort Sol, The Doors, The Beatles.
Books: A lot of Danish books, and way to many to remember them. I've read all of Tor Nørretranders, and Isaac Asimov works. And I have a lot of John Grisham and Stephen Baxters books on my bookshelves.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Uhm, many things, too many to remember.

Bjarke did travel by a single train from Thessaloniki (Greece) over Skorpje (Marcedonia), Belgrade (Serbia), Budapest (Hungary) to Prauge (Czhech Republic). Which was quite an amazing train ride.

Mathilde walked "Camino de Santiago" (600 km).

Bjarke is an computer engineer educated in telecommunications/distributed networks, which is also quite a passion of his, and he very much love to teach anyone willing to learn. So please, just ask if you are curious about anything. Bjarke is a very patient teacher, and have been told that he is really good at explaining complicated concepts in a understandable way.

Also, it is completely okay if you have no interest in this passion, He wont insist on boring you. :)
