I'm 23 and I have a passion for conscious living, thinking about what I want to do in life and than doing it. That results in different kind of travelling and being outdoors: hiking, hitchhiking, biketouring, (wild) camping, (rock) climbing, alpinism. Sometimes with friends or family, sometimes alone. It also entails reading quite some, and trying to contribute to a sustainable world. I try to do that both in my own life and beyond. That's also why I am active with the climate activist group, Extinction Rebellion.

My current trip I started in August 2021. I cycled from Netherlands to Prague, over the Alps, down to Slovenia. At the point I realized that at this moment, cycling alone is not the thing to do for me and since January I swapped my bike for a backpack and am planning to continue hitchhiking and hiking; sometimes faster, sometimes slower than cycling. I get on well with almost anybody, but my best friends are open, enthusiastic, have a vision for their lives and world and have a good mix of extrovertness and introvertness.

I am vegetarian, but not super strict. I sometimes flirt with veganism, but absolutely not strict with it.

Books: Non-Fiction. Everything from Nassim Nicholas Taleb, he's my secret hero, although he can be a bit offensive. The hidden life of trees, the secret wisdom of nature (Nature is so cool)

Movies: biggest little farm, and the MCU (let's say I read books to learn and I watch movies also to relax)

Music: Passenger, The Killers. And a lot of different other stuff, open for almost everything.

In the summer of 2019 I was in France and somehow my holiday plans for the next week dropped. In stead of just staying on the campsite I decided to push myself, wrote Marseille on the pack of a pizza box and started to hitchhike for the first time alone. It was lovely. Out of 5 weeks of holiday, this unplanned week was definitely the best. I loved the freedom of travelling alone, all the connections I've made and places I've visited.
