About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make the world more open minded and bring back humanity
"I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do, interfere with what I can do."
I am at a place in my life where i appreciate the little things. First snow. Birds singing. Long runs. Slow mornings. Great books. Meeting people. Seeing places.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I wish to meet new people, who are visiting my area. I am always up for coffee.
I used couchsurfing during my travels in Ethiopia and in Finland, mainly for networking and making new friends.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Ive had a couple of surfers staying with me in Denmark, and i have used couchsurfing as a platform to meet newcommers in Denmark.
The first time, i had the part of being the traveller, was when i visited Ethiopia in 2013, and later in Finland during 2016.
Interests
PHILANTHROPIST – SOCIAL WORKER
HUMANITARIAN – DEVELOPER
POLITICIAN – VOLUNTEER
BENEFACTOR – ADVOCATE
COORDINATOR – COMMUNICATOR
GYM INSTRUCTOR – ENTREPRENEUR
I work hard for the things in which i believe,
and I do not cave in for easy solutions or things half way done.
Throughout the years, I have been keeping busy within various jobs, spare time activities and fields of interests, while also obtaining my degree in Social work. My social work bachelor thesis was obtained by writing a project about ethical considerations in Western/Ethiopian project collaborations, based on a case from a child labor project. Through my studies, I worked and lived in Ethiopia for two years.
Besides my studies i have been working as a gym instructor for about 6 years now. I enjoy bringing a healthy lifestyle into people’s lives, and the energy I can bring into such line of work, is of great importance to my own well being. Furthermore, I enjoy the fact that I often seem to be able to transfer my knowledge from the gym,
into other projects in which I take part.
As a spare time activity, I have been a volunteer in the Danish Refugee Council’s youth department
since my early teenage years. Refugee issues and their human rights is of great concern to me, and it is of high importance to me, to contribute to the advocacy and constructive debates concerning these issues.
As a direct result of my interest in refugee issues, I am engaged in political work and campaigns, and I have previously worked as a volunteer in the campaigns of our former Minister of trade and foreign development, Mogens Jensen. I enjoy being part of the democratic process, and i also believe that it is important to do so; as this is our way for having real influence and a say in any matter.
Put in a short way,
I am a young woman working to have an impact on justice and equality within the world.
