ABOUT ME

BJ & Lauren married on New Years Day 2012, and in January 2013 put into effect their longterm plan—to base themselves overseas while building their tour company, Insight Travels (InsightTravels.com).
BJ worked with a non-profit agency for years, developing housing for veterans, mentally ill, and low-income families; he also owned an import store in downtown Sarasota, FL for 8 years, focusing mostly on treasures from India, Nepal, and all around Southeast Asia.
Lauren spent more than a 12 years working for Whole Foods Market, learning to appreciate the simplicity and elegance of clean, healthy food (and the occasional terrible-for-you cheese). She is a board-certified Acupuncture Physician and Doctor of Oriental Medicine & used to teach at one of the finest acupuncture schools in Florida.
Both BJ & Lauren enjoy burritos, feeding squirrels, taking pictures, and traveling around the world.

We don't have a home so sadly we can't host anyone. But we travel year-round (mostly south and southeast Asia) and love the concept of Couchsurfing.
