Overview
About Me
Hi, my name is Joel, but everyone call me Jo.
I love meeting new people, and traveling is mostly an excuse to meet new interesting people.
I also love to learn new stuff while traveling: diving, freediving, Spanish for the last few times, kite surfing next time. Can't wait.
I love couchsurfing because of the unique contact between locals and visitors and the real relationships that are built.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been in a few meetings in Brasil which have all been a great experience, specially in Rio de Janeiro where it gathered about 500 people. I'm more a surfer than a host because unfortunately not many people visit my beautifull tiny city, Fribourg. And because as soon as I have holiday I try to travel!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Never been disapointed! I've always met great people who took great care of me and with whom I'm still in contact today. I'd love to host someone soon to return the service to the community and to show how beautifull Switzerland is!
Interests
I prefer bars over clubs and beers over cocktails. But enough time at the bar and I'll end up drinking cocktails and enough cocktails and I'll probably follow you to the club anyway.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I participated to the Parade in the Sambodromo during the Rio Carnival after bumping into an old friend in the middle of the crowd.
I got lost in Saudi arabia during a 20 hours long transfer but got 'rescued' by some amazing locals who took me to their place and spent the day with me before my late flight. People had advised me to stay in the airport. They were right, I got lost, but hey I met some amazing people too.
