I am i the middle of my childhood and teenage dream: traveling around the world with my best friends: my wife and our children.

ABOUT ME

I am a Norwegian musician and teacher. Since August 2011 I have been traveling with my wife and our 3 children (age 12, 17, 20) Around the World. Ending in May 2012.

We are a music family and are "Playing Around the World" trying to make our living with our music. We like to stay cheap, in small places, and sometime we "play to stay"; give concerts or play in the streets. We all sing and play guitars, piano (keyboard), saxophone, harmonica. PHILOSOPHY

I think I have "helpers" talking to me, almost all the time. But I don't understand what they are saying. One day I think I will. In the meantime I just live like an ordinary man.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started traveling only few years ago, but of course as a musician I have travelled a lot in Norway. The only experience I have with Couchsurfing is attending a gathering in Sydney (Royal Botanic Gardens) in January 2011. Me and my family met many nice people there, and will definetly try out the adventures of couchsurfing, together as a family or as singels.

During the around-the-world trip we (me and my two big sons) did sleep on a couch in Paris; a bar-owner helped us out one night when we could find no beds available.

Interests

Traveling, music, food, but most of all: the meaning of life, or rather: Why it is hidden for us... Sometimes I feel close to life. Sometimes not.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I won the first prize in a big lottery ones: I was born! I am the father of three children. Every day I am amazed by that fact.

I have done some things that amaze people, but I rather not talk about it...

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach music; guitar, drums and singing (I also play the piano, accordion, harmonica and flutes).I also can teach English.I'd like to learn more about local music and rhythms around the world, religions, buildings, customs.... everything I don't know about. Except engines and shoes.
