About Me

Fresh out of college, working in the IT sector and love to spend time with friends and family. Over-easily fascinated by pretty much everything. I'm an early riser and I do like to get the most out of my day. The two are interdependent since I tend to be most productive before 19:00. That's probably an important note if we need to share a living space.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love observing different cultures, politics and societies as a whole. Therefore I have been planning for years to travel to Iran when a window of opportunity opens up. February 2017 will be that window. I'll be travelling from Kashan to Shiraz and fly to Tehran from 2 to 15 February. Happy to join up!

Interests

I believe that being interested in something is not static, nor really subject specific. More practical: I tend to be fascinated by a lot of things depending on how good I get at doing/studying those things, and how interesting they seem at the service. But in general I tend to be:
- into academic studies/research regarding social sciences especially economics
- into some of the more technical parts of economics as well as the beta sciences. I've done a master in Information Sciences, but it did not include a lot of technical components and neither do I have the programming nor the mathematical background to go into great detail.
- I'm in to arts, as long as there is not to much of a deep philosophy behind it. The work of Banksy is a perfect sweetspot I guess!
- not so much into sports, though I like to watch friend get real fanatic about it ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Listen to some audiobooks these days ('Why nations fail' currently)
Most awesome film that comes to mind is Selma (and movies with a historical background in general), don't watch it on a 'happy night' though

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving
Hanging around with Elephants
Skydiving
