About Me

Please, check the home section before requesting. Also, I work a lot and often have to decline because of it. If I do accept, you'll probably be left to explore on your own. If I have free time, I won't mind joining, but can't promise.
Please note, if there is nothing personal in the request you are pretty much gonna score zero, sorry, mostly without explanations.
This might sound harsh but I do value the little free time I have.

CURRENT MISSION

making beautiful memories

ABOUT ME

Made in Russia, but have my home wherever my backpack is. This year it took me to Milan for an EVS project and I still don't know why I'm here.
I used to meditate every day but have been having troubles with reconnecting with myself recently.
Constantly trying to get closer to nature.

I hate planning and love spontaneous decisions and going with the flow in whatever direction it's taking me. I was supposed to travel for two weeks in Georgia once but some hitchhiking flow happened and took me all the way to South-East Asia turning 9 months of my life into an unforgettable and life changing journey.
On that trip I got to know myself a bit better, started enjoying the moment, appreciating life and the opportunities it gives us, became more mindful, began meditating daily and finally learned to enjoy the process rather than just being focused on the result as many westerners are prone to, changed my life values, stopped giving a fuck about many things that others consider important, and became a bit happier.
I am always willing to share positive energy and good vibes with all the people I meet along the way, have good times and laughs, enjoy small things, help others whenever I can, make friends with strangers, and remind myself and everyone else that life is wonderful and amazing.

I still have no idea what I want to do with my life in the long run (does anyone know it and is it even important though?), but I do know that I still adore travelling. I keep getting fascinated by the enormous number of different people, cultures, places, and secrets hidden all over our small world. And I believe that one day I will, indeed, draw up a crafty plan of travelling without the need to work till I happily kick that bucket somewhere in Antarctica.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in stars. Lucky stars.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because life is all about people. And even sociopathy can't stop it.
Because those people are as accidental as prizes in a lottery. And I actually like winning.
Because you can share so many wonderful memories with people you meet along the way.
Because you can gain so much priceless experience from the locals you're staying with.
Because having friends all over the world used to be my childhood's dream.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing, hosting, and surfing again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been hosted by amazing people and every one of them played significant parts in my travels, so sometimes I feel that couchsurfing is actually becoming one of the reasons I'd love to travel more.

Interests

I prefer beautiful nature to man-made cities, tea to coffee, smoothies to booze, yoga to jogging, boardgames to partying, adventures to couches, cold to heat, trains to planes (hitchhiking to both though), home made food to restaurants (deep rooted vegetarian), mountains to plains, camping to hotels, swimming to sunbathing, handmade to machine-made, face-to-face conversations to phones, skies to ceilings, rains to showers, natural highness to drugs, experiencing life to regretting.

It's just a list of preferences, it doesn't mean I don't like the opposites :) Except for one. You tell me which one that is.

Music, Movies, and Books

I always ask myself, what I like more: music, movies or books. And the answer always changes. As well as the tastes and favourites. So here's something I enjoyed recently.
Music: anything that I can listen to, trying to expand my horizons as much as possible here.
Books: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (this is probably the only permanent favourite), The Minds of Billy Milligan, 10% happier.
Movies: a lot. Before We Go, Waking Life, Inside Out. Depp, Gyllenhaal, Johansson, Burton, Tarantino.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once couchsurfed. That made me consider hitchhiking seriously.
I once hitchhiked. That made me consider hitchhiking sailboats. We'll see what happens next.
I once went to Georgia for two weeks and ended up travelling for 9 months.
I once got to experience vipassana (and I am still working on it).
