Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See the UK, write a little better every day, and come back home in one piece
ABOUT ME
Currently marching through Ireland and the UK as part of my study of queer communities and amateur writing. Taking a few months to learn how to live out in the big wide world before I have to rejoin reality and get a job. I'm running a blog on my travels:

PHILOSOPHY
I don't have a succinct 'philosophy', exactly. Just a series of moods and perspectives I cycle through.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm only recently getting involved with CS, I've heard nothing but good things for years and just now find myself with the need. I'm primarily using it to surf now, but when my partner and I are secure we hope to be able to give back to anyone traveling to the States.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Nothing just yet, but I haven't heard any bad stories so far, and with a project this ambitious that's surprisingly good news.
Interests
Reading, writing, various geeky activities, strolling (I wouldn't call it 'hiking' yet, but I like a bit of a walk and some scenery)
- writing
- running
- news
- reading
- traveling

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Anything by Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Michael Cunningham, Anne Rice, Oscar Wilde. Dubliners, 100 Years of Solitude, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the list goes on and on.
Music: Adele, Garbage, Daft Punk, Billie Holiday, Electric Six, etc.
Movies: Kill Bill, Moulin Rouge, The Godfather, Sweeney Todd, Anything Miyazaki or Almodovar
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've slept in a room made of ice. After spending a few days in northern Sweden during the winter, the Icehotel was actually not bad.
Teach, Learn, Share
I suppose I know a good bit about queer and gender theory, a bit about writing, and some practical skills (basic repairs and origami). Nothing I can really spell out, though.
Countries I’ve Visited
Ireland, Sweden, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
United States
