Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To cure disease and stamp out pestilence ;-P
ABOUT ME
Easy going, laid back, veggie who loves the outdoors and traveling. Most of my travel has been within the US, but I hope to change that! I am a devoted father and husband, and have a very cool 3 y/o son, Lake, who loves to hike and camp. My wife, Kristin, also loves to hike, backpack, and camp. I enjoy music, trail running, vegetarian cooking, meaningful conversation, and meeting people and making new friends.
PHILOSOPHY
We create our lives with our thoughts. Converted optimist with pessimistic flares. If you do the good that is in your heart, life will be good, friends will be found, and the universe will always take care of you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently living in Michigan away from my wife and son in Arizona, while completing residency. I will be finished in April 09, then will have couch to offer, but nothing now ;-( So I'm a burden on the couch surfing society until I can get home, then we'll make up for it!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
This will be my first time coming up...how exciting. And I heard about it from a friend who lives in Europe.
Interests
Outdoors, hiking, backpacking, camping, trail running, music, vegetarian cooking, animal welfare, medicine of course, meeting new people, traveling, and chocolate.

Movies--indie film and foreign film especially.
Books--William Gibson (any), Experiment with the Truth--Autobiography of Gandhi, Biko, Illusions, American Gods, Orson Scott Card (any)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Mayan villagers in Belize who had never seen a doctor before.
Teach, Learn, Share
Anything medical. Vast life experiences. I know a fair amount about the deserts, both the high deserts of Utah/Western Colorado, and the Sonoran desert of Arizona, regarding rock formation, ecosystem, and wildlife.
I also know what it's like to work for 40 hours straight, without sleep. But the only thing I learned from that is that I don't want to do it again.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belize, Canada, French Polynesia, Mexico, United States
