CURRENT MISSION
Live it while I've got it
ABOUT ME
This question is always a hard one, right? Umm, well, let's see. Here are some of my favorite things: books, traveling, kids, people, saving the world(long-time Amnesty International activist) music, satire, the list could go on for a long time. I graduated with a degree in International Affairs from the University of Colorado and someday I'll have another degree in international law. I'm pretty much just a totally awesome guy that you'll love to have on your couch for a night or two. Seriously, totally awesome.
PHILOSOPHY
Well this is another hard one. There's a lot more to it than that little word implies. In general I think if what you do and how you live your life isn't hurting anyone else, than its perfectly well and good. Live and let live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've had great experiences hosting and being hosted by various couch surfers. For a while I was able to offer a wonderful couch to travelers who happened to pass through my rather random neck of the woods in the northern Czech Republic. I just moved to Dalian, China, though so I look forward to getting involved with the local CS community and doing some hosting.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed several times and they've all been very positive experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm constantly being told how many movies I "need to see," so I apparently haven't seen many. As far as music and books though, I don't really know where to begin. My computer's full of really great music from all over the world from the last hundred years or so. Favorite books is too long a list, so favorite authors will have to do. I love: Vladimir Nabokov, Henry Miller, John Steinbeck, Salman Rushdie, J.D. Salinger, Kurt Vonnegut, Arundhati Roy, Franz Kafka, James Joyce, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Italo Calvino, Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky, umm, way too many more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't even know where I would begin with this one.
Teach, Learn, Share
Hmm, what can I teach? Well, I've learned a lot about world history and politics and I've been a pretty active member of the American activist community for a while. I also have over two thousand hours of direct sales experience and probably know a lot about reading people. As always though, I have a lot more to learn than I could ever possibly have to teach, so let's meet!
