Overview
About Me
Manuel and I met in Honduras where I had a 2 year contract to teach. I ended up staying for 11 years! Now we are starting a new chapter of life in the US.
I (Sarah) am from Pennsylvania . Manuel is Honduran. I taught in Honduras for 11 years and explored almost the whole country and a lot of Central America. We have a 6 year old mini-couch surfer and a 2 year old who still rides in the backpack.

I love books, cooking, exercise, outdoors stuff and I am also a yoga teacher. Manuel loves live music, having a few beers with friends, and riding his bike out in the country.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
How about 3 amazing things instead:
I accidentally climbed an active volcano in El Salvador. The town below it had been evacuated and there was boiling, mint-green water in the crater.
Manuel and I also ate lobster in an illegal Cuban restaurant (2 old ladies' living room).
In London a friend and I ended up drinking tea in a Kenyan's apartment while he told me the Kenyan creation myth. Then we played Dance Dance Revolution at the arcade.
Teach, Learn, Share
I need to learn more about plants, gardens, and converting cars to veggie bio-fuel. I always have lots of books to lend or trade whether traveling or at home.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can help with Spanish language acquistion, cook Honduran tipico breakfasts with the proper food supplies, give advice on car problems, and give love to pets.
