CURRENT MISSION

To travel and see as much of the world as I can. I like to stay in a country for as long as my US passport allows.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Dallas, Texas. I always had an adventurous side and decided to see as much of the world as I could. I have been traveling to over 36 different countries for several years now.

I taught business English online for several years to students in France and Italy when I worked for 3i mobile, New York. I am presently in Morocco right now and my plans are visiting and hopefully finding an English instructor position in Puerto Rico.

I am new to couchsurfing and would gladly exchange my teaching skills and, or cooking, etc. in exchange for a host's hospitality. Please note that I am older semi-retired.

PHILOSOPHY

I find helping others to be personally very satisfying. That is why I became a drug and mental health counselor before leaving the United States.I believe that stress shortens one's life and that love is healing.

While traveling to new places can be exciting and stimulating, it can also be lonely (especially leaving good friends behind). I have learned to accept the downside of traveling and living abroad, but also have met some very nice people along the way who I will miss alot.

Besides traveling - photography (was a professional part-time wedding and portrait photographer for over 10 years in the US), movies, music, philosophy, cosmology, politics, reading, browsing for bargains, being on a boat, snorkeling, fishing (though I never catch anything!)

Save as much money as you can so you have a comfortable cushion if you run into trouble. Material things are nice, but love and good friends are what really matters in this life - avoid a lot of stress if possible, it can kill you. And please find another job if you hate the one you are in, even if the money is good.
