About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living as I had to die tomorrow. Dreaming as I had to live forever
ABOUT ME
I always loved to travel, to meet different people from different countries with different cultures and languages.
Exploring the world, but not the touristic way, "sniffing" the place and coming to know different ways of life, is what makes of a trip a memorable one
PHILOSOPHY
Carpe diem
In other words... Life is uncertain, eat dessert first
The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, he said:
"Man.
Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.
Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health.
And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present;
the result being that he does not live in the present or the future;
he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love the project and I like to contribute. For sure when I had the opportunity to visit a place, hosted by local people, I liked to live the way they do, and doing so, I appreciated much more my time and my experience
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Now after a few years as a couchsurfer, I definitely love this approach toward travelling.
Even before being into CS I hosted and have been a guest to my foreign friends and penpals
I had in my life the luck to get to know splendid persons all around the world and sometimes I had the opportunity to visit them and stay at their place doing the things they do, eating the food they are used to.
That was the best of my trip, better than momnuments and museums
Interests
Photography, languages, travelling ...cats
I also have a strong interest for my favorite painter: Jan Vermeer

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: actually I am omnivore I chew and digest almost everything, with only possible exception of Heavy Metal, which I bear only if gently requested
I love MPB (Musica Popular Brasileira)
If I have to choose two, my heroes are Paul Simon and an Italian singer, Vinicio Capossela
Books: Master and Margarita is one of my favorite. Then Science Fiction (Asimov), True Crime (Ann Rule), Thrillers in general, but also history books and biographies
A lot of TV Series.
The best TV show ever "Breaking Bad", but also Dexter, Damages, The Big Bang Theory among others
Movies: Stanley Kubrick forever, but also Almodovar, sometimes Tarantino and everything that gives emotion
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveling in France I stopped my car to give a lift to an old man who needed to get back home. I talked to him briefly during the 8 kms trip, I knew about his life and job, he was coming back form his daughter house, where he had a short visit.
Since a couple of days later I had to be hosted by a girl in the town of his daughter (about 50 kms from there) I always had fantasies that he could be her father (there was no reason, just a feeling or just because in that town I knew only a person and was a girl).
So when I reached my host, I tried to approach the issue, asking about her father, his job etc
And guess what? He was really her father!
---------
Having a penpal for some years never seen her live, but when invited to her marriage, I took the plane and flew down to Warrnamboll, Victoria, Australia, just to be there
Teach, Learn, Share
ready to learn
interested in understanding human beings
I am very curious about foreign languages and at least I'd like to learn to say "Good Morning" and "Thank You" in every language I come across
Of course I like to try and taste local food, as well as I love to cook Italian dishes when hosting or being a guest
I love photography and traveling, sure I can share my knowledge and my experience in this fields.
But being Italian I can sure teach you how to cook pasta
