About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Rickshaw for life!
ABOUT ME
To discover myself by exploring the world. To set out to experience life without rules, logic, justifications - just to hit the road.
In 2008 I overnight turned from a backpacker to a bicycle tourist, inspired by a Spanish bicycle tourist who I met in Varanasi.
Next I bicycle toured parts of Thailand, Laos, China, HK, Macau, Singapore & Indonesia for the next six months.
In 2010 I went to London on a working holiday and that again changed my life. I discovered my true passion: To ride a rickshaw and entertain my passengers. For me, it's been the most incredible lifestyle ever.
I rode a rickshaw for a couple of summers in London and in the winter of 2011, I did a few more bicycle tours across Europe: from Athens to London, London to Gaint's Causeway, London to Berlin.
Now I ride a rickshaw in Zurich and life has been better than ever. To be honest I love my work more than my holiday. What a privilege!
PHILOSOPHY
1. Travelling builds character
2. Cyclophilosophy = Cycling + Philosophy
3. You don't get anything in life if you don't even ask for it
4. Never take 'NO' for an answer
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I rarely use the couch surfing website to host and be hosted .
I have a special affinity for the streets and most of the hosting I have done has been spontaneous - meeting people on the street and inviting them to couch surf at my place.
And the other way around as well. I show up and find someone through a spontaneous conversation and end up getting hosted.
But it's also fun to look at people's profiles, get to know their interests and then get hosted. So I'm trying to get a balance of both forms.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It's always fantastic to share experiences and conversations with CS ers from different corners of the world over a few laughs, a drink or just good old cup of tea.

I absolutely love and enjoy interacting with cyclists, backpackers and travellers. I love conversations and I think it is a form of art. We all get to share and express ourselves with the people we meet on CS or otherwise.
