ABOUT ME
Generally, I spend time with my friends and family, enjoy solitude, work, have a few projects I'm slowly working on here at home, am in the process of trying to get a house here in Saint Louis, then use it as a base of operations (and make it a home, instead of just a house) for living life. I want to get in a position where I can work and live in Saint Louis 6 months, and live and/or work 6 months elsewhere. Other than that, who knows where life leads?
PHILOSOPHY
I think more in terms of what I don't believe, I guess. I can believe a lot of things that SEEM to contradict each other. I put as much stock in mythology as I do in "science." I believe in science, not in the conclusions that people come away with from it. Science certainly doesn't answer some of lifes greatest questions. Some spiritual ideas and "religions" are misjudged, some are better than others, and some aren't worth the paper they are printed on.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
People can stay with me if they like, or I can find somewhere for them to stay. Depending on how my work schedule is, I can travel also. Even if you don't stay with me, if you're in town, feel free to contact me, and we can hang out.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When I travel, I'm usually visiting someone, and have a place to stay. But I've couchsurfed a few times and it's been wonderful, I've never felt uncomfortable. I've only had a few couchsurfers stay, but I've met quite a few through my other friends who host couchsurfers. Looking to have more experiences now that I have a new roomate who might be receptive.
Interests
Lots of stuff you read about/watch/listen too. Some actual goals I have are to learn to garden (indoors, and eventually outdoors), make wine, make beer, cook better and more often (currently I like to to make simple stuff like hummus, potatoes, tuna steaks, oatmeal), learn woodworking with my family, go fishing (not for sport, but as a source of food).

Music, Movies, and Books
Night of the Hunter, Miyazaki films, Crispin Glover (the Beaver trilogy), Suspiria, Mindgame, Trailer Park Boys, trashy anime, Pixote, Evangelion, Manila: City by Night, Koyaanisqatsi, Boyz in the Hood, American Astronaut, Sunrise (silent film), Heart of the World (Guy Maddin short), Twin Peaks.
Prince, Sonic Youth, punk rawk, The Roots, Weird Al...I saw the Touch and Go 25th block party (Shellac, Cocorosie, and lot's more), Five Iron Frenzy (when they were around), Gogol Bordello, A Silver Mount Zion. The last great show I went to was the Monads and some other great Saint Louis bands at Off Broadway. Everyone was up on stage at the end, drunk, singing country and Johnny Cash songs! [edit: I just got to see MIA, the Stooges (performing Funhouse with saxaphone), and Public Enemy at Vegoose. Something I didn't think I'd be interested in seeing, but was blown away by, was Daft Punk, and the "pyramid." I'm sure with a combination of the right drugs, it was a religious experience.]
I'll get to books later.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being part of a family that has made me love people the way that they are, no matter what, and the friendships that have resulted in that.
