ABOUT ME
My name is John and I am a freelance photographer.
You can view some of my work here: www.blacksheepfoto.com
I love to travel, meet new people, photograph interesting people and places, and learn all that I can in this little experiment called "life".
I have lots of interests...but here are ones I nurture daily..
- Photography
- Computers, Gadgets, Games
- DIY culture (I make things, reuse things, build things)
- Art
- Music (of all kinds with few exceptions)
- Cultures (food, language, etc)
- Spirituality (I am new to this one but learning so much about myself and others)
I may come across as opinionated to some, but they often forget I am asking questions after sharing my current thoughts. I love talking about most everything, and LOVE learning something new.
I am a professional photographer and love to barter. I see Couch Surfing as a way to get more adventure in my life and break from the norm. A close friend of mine turned me on to this...you may even know him!

I'm a little fed up with hearing his stories and not having any of my own!
My partner in adventure and loving girlfriend will be joining me as much as possible.
Combined we are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to good times, good conversations, and making good friends.
PHILOSOPHY
My strength lies in my vulnerability.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I hope to do some travel and then open my place in Fort Lauderdale, FL for other couch surfers. I am also spreading the word to friends and family and plan to do whatever promotionals I can in my business ventures.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've never given it a name but I've done this for years with friends and associates. From places close to home, to the other side of the country. Almost all the major cities and some less then desirable ones, I've covered close to half of the stats in my travels.

Musica, film e libri
A list too long to write. Let's talk about what we've seen/read/heard recently over coffee....
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
Most amazing thing I've seen? Tough to choose but being 6-7k above sea level on top of a mountain peak is pretty damn amazing and never fails to make me drool and/or cry.

Bring a camera EVERYWHERE:
1: Never leave home without it. Murphy's law applies.
2: Charge those batteries and have extras.
3: Memory cards, memory cards, and more memory cards.
4: Don't make excuses to capture your memories in the most visually pleasing and easy to manage way us humans have. Your friends and family will appreciate it..even if you don't!
