About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live every minute!

ABOUT ME

Venus and I recently moved to Dallas. I am from Ohio and she is from Venezuela. I travel a bit for pleasure and a ton for work.... I love latin america and am studying spanish, I am almost fluent but am my own worst critic. I really enjoy nice beer and wine and good company and good chat.
Venus is also a vet, working in the lab.

PHILOSOPHY

You only live once...make it count! Disfruta la vida!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host when I'm free and love to surf when I'm traveling... You miss the best side of a city when you stay in a hotel...the locals! We love to host interesting people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My best couch surfing experience was when a taxi driver in Maine offered me a place to stay when I told him to take me to the train station to sleep Moral: nice people are everywhere.
A bit of couch surfing in Europe and sometimes I fall asleep on my own couch.

Interests

When I am not studying I enjoy wine, eating, realxing with friends , and the outdoors. I also like to climb, you could argue that I'm addicted!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy thrillers, comedy, and Morgan Freeman. I like techno, reggae, jazz and all sorts of random things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Shooting stars on the north rim of the Grand Canyon, my first dive in the Turks and Caicos Islands, Yellowstone. Went to where my great grandfather grew up in Hungary. Salto Angel!

Teach, Learn, Share

I grew up on a farm, worked as a farrier (horseshoer) and a blacksmith. I am a vet and and I used to know more useless animal facts than I would like to admit, but I let all those slip away...except the chicken facts! (fried is best)
Venus can teach you how to make arepas or about leptospirosis or about the Venezuelan political/economic system.
