About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Make my SD life as interesting and fun as possible :)
PHILOSOPHY
To be a good person (to myself and others), and make sure I am happy while doing it. Also, to not take things for granted, and try to keep myself grounded. It is easy to get caught up with material things and desire for things that really don't matter, and I try to keep myself in check with those sorts of things. Though the mind is always learning and growing, so I'm sure I could add a lot more to that list!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been lucky enough to have surfed with multiple awesome people, and I have nothing but good things to say about everyone I have met! There are so many unique people out there, and I am glad that this enables me to meet lots of them. It is great to know there are thousands of people out there that are happy to open their homes and hearts to random strangers. I also have hosted a few people, and that has been a great time too. I just hope I showed my surfers the same hospitality and fun that my hosts have shown me! I have also been able to attend a few get togethers, and I have met a lot of awesome people, and had a lot of fun! I am hoping to use this a lot for meeting people in places I have never been before, so that I can get the full experience out of all of my travels.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
AWESOME!!! I have been able to visit and travel through Italy, Germany, and some of the United states using CS. I would not have it any other way- I feel like I really got to know the cities I went to more than I ever would have if I travelled the "old-fashioned" way :). Also, I have made some good friends through CS, just by surfing or CS events etc. It really is so much more than just a place to stay!
Interests
Tons of things! Feel free to share yours with me! I have a Bachelors in Ecology, and I really enjoy learning about animal behavior. Besides that, I love going out dancing (clubs and line dancing especially), reading, meeting friendly new people, traveling (when I have the chance), listening to music, walking around big cities and exploring, being goofy with my friends, cleaning (I know, it's weird haha), swimming, tubing/rafting, snowboarding, bike riding, kayaking, camping, playing in the snow, going to parties... a lot of stuff :) I am open to almost anything- I love new experiences!

Music, Movies, and Books
Can't say I'm a huge movie buff, as a lot of newer movies tend to disappoint me. Not to say I don't have some favorites/enjoy watching them though!
I love reading, though my taste has changed over the years. I typically enjoy fictional books though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2016 my fiance and I did 5 week backpacking trip through Europe (which was amazing in itself), and I got to climb an active volcano, and watch it erupt. It's unlike anything I have every experienced. If you ever visit the island of Stromboli, do it!!
We are doing another 5 week Europe trip this summer (2019)!
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn how to really enjoy life as much as possible, no matter what is thrown at me. And also how to make lots of friends everywhere I go (I think this is a good start :))
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be happy to share any knowledge and experiences I have, about life/travelling/San Diego/ fitness/ nutrition, etc. I am also happy to just offer some easy conversation!
