ABOUT ME

I am currently a PhD student at the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology in Tuebingen. I am researching the development of vertebrates using both biology and mathematics to unravel some fundamental questions in biology. If you would like to hear about my research, I am happy to explain it to you.

I am pretty outgoing, love to meet new peeps and hang out, having some serious conversations about culture, politics or science. However, I am always open for some crazy talk ;).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted about 15-20 people during my time in Munich, showed them the city, went out with them or just chillaxed watching some movies or cooked together. Traditionally, I am making some nice German food for my surfers and hosts and teach them some German if they want to.
However, I have the feeling that I haven't hosted enough people yet and there's still tons of intercultural stuff to experience, so I need to keep on surfin' and hostin' .

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted a few people and showed them my world. Learned tons of new dishes, words, facts and had some of my best discussions about international relations and cultures in my life. Definitely don't want to miss these experiences!

Interests

Everything!!! Just kidding ;). But pretty much. I love music. I listen to music basically all the time, whatever I am in to at the moment. Everything from Electro to Jazz, from Classic to Punk Rock, you can be sure that I will listen to it. I also like to pick up one of my instruments (Drums, Piano, Guitar) and just jam for hours.
Sports are super important too. I play (Beach-)Volleyball, swim, bike and hike. I have a really hard time to sit around and do nothing. I always need to move.
Last big subject is science. Since I am a scientist I am super interested in any kind of science and I am super eager to learn as much as possible. So if you have any interesting facts from science you want to share, I am your man!
