Man I always find these sections so hard but I’ll try my best!

I’m an easy going Aussie dude from Perth currently 3 months into my 6 month backpacking trip around New Zealand. I pretty well went on this trip to try and find out what I want to do with myself in my life - so you could say a journey of 'self discovery' as cliche as that is haha.

I love the outdoors and just doing just about any activity in the outdoors! Some of my favourites are trail running, rock climbing, hiking, snowboarding, swimming, going to the beach, kayaking, SUP boarding. I also really want to try MTB too, I think NZ would be a perfect place to start!

Music! Man I love music, it's just so good for the soul. I used to play guitar and really want to get back into it and write some of my own songs. At a party with good music, you'll catch me busting moves and singing along (when I know the words) for most of the night - dancing is also good for the soul!

I love to share a joke and have a laugh - life’s too short to be serious!

I really like meeting new like-minded people and trying new things because you know what they say, "change is the spice of life" .

I enjoy having deep chats about big mind bending stuff like space, our very existence, the meaning of life etc. I also like having debates and listening to other peoples opinions on issues - I think it’s so important to listen to a view different from your own.

I’m big into doing what you fear (and a big YesTheory Fan), because I just feel so awesome after doing something I’m scared of! I'm also always trying to be the best version of myself that I can be.

I have a real driving passion for the environment and am hoping to help our planet someday in a really significant way through science - This is why I want to study biochemistry.

I'm a flexitarian, so mostly vego but when I go out I'll sometimes have meat.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m couch surfing so I can meet some awesome like minded people that want to go on crazy adventures together! Oh and to get to some local knowledge and good places to go too!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm an all round music lover but a few of my favourite genres are alternative music, indie rock and some good old classics (U2, David bowie, The Cranberries). Some of my favourite artists at the moment are: Lorde, alt j, Flume, Spacey Jane, Group Love, Sticky Fingers, Super Organism, Goth Babe. One of my favourite things to do is to go out have a beer with mates and listen to some local bands!

Ok phew now time for movies! Well Interstellar has to be my absolute favourite, the music and everything just works so perfectly together. I also really liked Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Simpsons Movie ( I'm a bit of a die hard simpsons fan haha!). I also like a good documentary and anything David Attenborough. There are lots more that I honestly can't think of at the moment!

A few of my favourite books so far are The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close by Oskar Schell, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak and Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer. At the moment I'm really into coming of age novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve done a few cool things in my life but they’ve all kind of only been for me, so I really would like to do something awesomely selfless that both helps the environment and brings joy to others.
