Hi! My name is Blaise, and I come from New Mexico. A beautiful hot, dry, and open state in the southwest of the U.S. I love big skies, big dreams, and people that live big. I love the ocean, and the feeling of being swept away in a beautiful moment with lovely strangers. I love meeting new people, and feeling at home right away. I am inspired by traveling, doing art, meeting new people, trying different foods, and having a good time in a new place!

I think that everyone from every country has something to share that is worthwhile and interesting, and it is hard to really know what's going on in a place if you do not share experiences with local people. I want to see your world through your eyes. That is why I want to start this journey on couchsurfing.

Intereses

I have always had a lively imagination. I love drawing, painting, making any sort of art that I can. I love to sing, I am learning guitar and piano. The moments I recall from my life that are filled with the most joy are moments of sharing music with others. Although I don't know exactly what I believe in, I believe that our imagination is so powerful that there must be something more than logic and reason. I love nature, doing physical things, camping, hiking, swimming, etc.

Books
I am an avid lover of reading, above all books full of magic and fantasy. I also like reading books that are about different cultures, and different ways of living than the one that I know.

Music
Right now I have been listening to a lot of calm singer songwriter music, like Iron and Wine, Jack Johnson, and Sufjan Stevens. I also love old rock. Growing up with the beatles playing in the background, they will always be with me. The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and The Doors are also incredible. Reggae is another favorite, because sometimes to chill out and be happy is all that one needs. As for modern music, I enjoy a lot of EDM.

Movies
I love films, and there are too many to list that I have loved. So here is a list of some that have shaped my way of seeing this world how I do at this moment. Black Beauty, Princess Mononoke, Howl's moving Castle, Enter the Void, and La belle verte. I also enjoy watching documentaries, especially ones about nature and magnificent natural formations around the world.

Swam in the open ocean with wild dolphins on Bimini, in the Bahamas. The water crystal clear, it was magnificent.
