Born and raised in a part of the world you might not be so familiar with - good ol' Kansas City, Missouri. Midwest boy gone international. I'm sick; I caught the bug and never looked back. I love to laugh, dance, and get a little crazy. Music and food keep me content. I am easily excited by new landscapes. Different = Beautiful. Wanting to see it ALL.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed Brasil from Florianópolis to São Paulo and loved every moment of it. Many times I've had hosts reach out to me first to offer me a place to stay while I pass through their city and those have been some of my best experiences. I travel alone often so I love using couchsufing to help me make friends along the way!

Movies - Anything by Almodóvar, Léon - The Professional, Little Miss Sunshine, Life is Beautiful, Precious, Wet Hot American Summer, and Juno.

Music - Pretty much can handle it all. Love the Jazz and Blues. Hip hop is what is up. I love to find some good foreign material. Pop when appropriate. Just to name a few: Criolo, M.I.A., Robyn, Muddy Waters, SIA, Stevie Wonder, James Blake, Mayra Andrade, Mos Def, Andrew Bird, Erykah Badu, Madlib, Ellie Goulding, Janelle Monáe, and St. Germain.

Books - Authors include: Marguerite Duras, Albert Camus, Reinaldo Arenas, Kurt Vonnegut, Isabel Allende, and José Saramago.

The Grand Canyon still might be at the top of my list. Honorable mentions would have to include: Machu Picchu, Iguazu Falls, the Amazon Rainforest, Thailand with my best friend and driving down the entire western seaboard of the US of A.
