Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have met some wonderful people on my travels so far. Up until now, I have been meeting and staying with hosts by word of mouth. I was recommended to try couchsurfing by one of my hosts in Austria.

Interests

I am especially interested in History. I enjoy visiting historical sites and museums. I love the outdoors and outdoor activities. I was raised in Florida and have an affinity for aquatic activities. I enjoy snorkeling and diving as well as surfing and body surfing. I enjoy hiking and am always interested in learning about more outdoor adventures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am a veteran of the war in Iraq. I served in the US Marine Corps from 1999 until 2004. My favorite memory was of sitting in the ruins of Babylon outside Balad, Iraq.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to tell stories. I can offer good conversation and I will buy the first round if we go drinking.
