About Me

I am currently on a hike called Walk the Parks. I'm attempting to connect all 47 National Parks with human power: mostly hiking and some cycling. 20,000 miles, 47 National Parks, 2 Feet, 1 Dream. One of my goals is to connect with communities and people along the way, so I'm switching from a host to a couchsurfer myself. I'm respectful and have tons of stories, so I hope some people will be willing to host me along my epic journey!

So super excited. I will be trying to connect with people in towns as I go. I'd love it if you hosted me, I've had a ton of fun hosting couchsurfers these past couple years!

Laid back, clean, athletic. Love skiing uphill and downhill in the winter, love long distance hiking and just got back from a 3 month trip on the Pacific Crest Trail, Colorado Trail, and Continental Divide Trail. AT thru hiker. Also into mountain biking, road biking, running, day hiking, etc.

Just trying to share some paradise with others traveling through on a budget.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Fun to meet new people. I've been so fortunate to meet amazing strangers that have welcomed me into their home, so I feel like I should give it a shot myself.

Interests

Travelling, laughing, chasing dreams, hiking, etc. I honestly tend to have a genuine interest in just about everything. Tell me things you're passionate about!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have lots of stories... Here's a sample of a couple: I hiked the entire 2,174 mile Appalachian Trail with only one night of previous backpacking experience. It was an amazing 6 1/2 month journey that changed so much about my world.

Another one... I was hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and got a stress fracture about 450 miles from the Mexican border. I recovered and then didn't know what to do! Within 3 days I bought a bicycle, zip tied some small garbage cans to the back of my bike, and off I went on a 1,100 mile bike tour through AZ, UT, and CO in July and August. I met some cool people at a gas station outside of Durango who agreed to host me for the night and keep my bike for the summer. The next day they dropped me off at the southern terminus of the 500 mile Colorado Trail. I loved Colorado so much (this was my first visit) that I knew I had to stay. I hitchhiked 45 miles over Independence Pass to Aspen, and loved it so much that after I completed the trail I moved back and have been in the Aspen area for 8 years since!
