BLANKA Hýžová + IVAN Mohelský
We're a young couple who might have different opinions and different interests, but we both like to spend our free time with a little adventure and love traveling together.

We are students from Brno, Czech republic, going to 2nd and 3rd year at the university. We met at high school and we've been together for 5 years now.

Unfortunately, now we don't have any spare bed to host somebody, but If you're in Brno, we could hang out or take you for a little tour :)

CURRENT MISSION:
Travelling together through Europe :)
We started our both travelling and CS experience by visiting London and it was pretty cool ... last summer we spend a week in 3 cities in the Netherlands (we "couch-surfed" through them - and it was awesome) and also visited Berlin. Now we'd like to see ITALY, ideally travelling again between the cities. So we guess more adventures are coming!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We both love to travel, explore new things, places and meet new people. It sounds like a phrase, but it is more and more true!

A year ago we decided that we wanted to start traveling together through Europe. We discovered CS... and wanted to give it a try. Everything went surprisingly well and we must say Couchsurfing helped us a lot - not only by making it easier to stay somewhere (and not spend all the budget on a hotel)... but also thanks to it, we met many amazing people - always so helpful and friendly!

It made us love this concept and be more open to meeting new people from other countries and cultures :).

Interests

We both love acroyoga, which is a combination of yoga and partner acrobatics. We discovered this sport about 2 years ago and now we try to practice every week. You can see it on our profile photos :)
We also like swimming, being in nature, reading good books... and travelling, of course! ;)

Blanka is a nature and animal lover and that led her to become a vegetarian. She loves dancing very much - dances ballet and modern dance since she was a child. She also worked part-time as an animator for a long time, so she loves a good laugh anytime. Reading and writing are her interests and she dreams about writing a book one day.

Ivan enjoys nature and everything about it like hiking and camping or riding a bike. He is also an enthusiastic mountain climber. Every year he spends his summer volunteering on a summer camp as an instructor. He is also a big science-fan, especially physics!

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
Ivan likes to listen to some good rock and Blanka will dance ...and sing...to almost anything! (But knows what good music is, grow up while listening to The Beatles :D!)

MOVIES
We usually prefer a book to the movie but we like movies too :)
We like some classics like Star Wars, Harry Potters, James Bond, most movies by Tarantino and the BBC Sherlock series...
Recently we have seen and really liked: Intouchables, Serial (Bad) Weddings, Martian, Interstellar...

BOOKS
We are both passionate readers :) Blankas' favourite books are those from Dan Brown, the Millenium series from S.Larsson and also Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy or The world according to Garp. But also loves Hunger Games and John Greens' books.

Ivans' favourite ones are Sherlocks Holmes, Farewell to arms, Cornwell's stories about archers, I robot, Harry Potters, Millenum and Warcraft series and many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's not a long time since we both climbed up our first mountain :)
(well Blanka just to the half... :D But still working on those climbing skills, haha!)

Ivan has completed a scuba diving course and it was amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

If you want to, we could teach you acroyoga (on begginer or intermediate level) :)
Blanka would love to learn to cook some delicious vegetarian food (maybe even non-vegetarian for Ivan...)

Also, we both would like to get to know the country we will be in, it's culture and everyday's life :) - there is no better way than to learn from the locals!
